Responsibilities

Summary
·       Make decisions to release, confirm, cancel or defer work based upon current inventory, demand, capacity and material availability

·       Maintain appropriate inventory levels and coordinate proper rotation of inventory to minimize scrap/reworked parts

·       Work with production manager to optimize production runs and troubleshoot capacity issues on an on-going basis

·       Actively participate in lean manufacturing processes

·       Provide other support to production and management as needed

·       Follow applicable Food Safety and cGMP policies

Qualifications

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High school diploma  or GED required
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required

 

Preferred Skills

  • Broad knowledge of operations management, practices and procedures
  • Advanced training in scheduling, purchasing and inventory control in preferred
  • Experience with scheduling/inventory software, particularly JDEdwards
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task with good organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
