With over 1,500 specialty SKUs spanning 500+ product families, Vybond serves 1,500+ customers across the HVAC, building and construction, industrial, retail, medical, aerospace, automotive, and other specialty industries.

Job Summary:

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing advanced technical support to end users, both remotely and on-site, across multiple departments within a manufacturing environment. This role supports Windows-based desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and various peripherals, ensuring system stability, optimal performance, and adherence to company security standards. The technician also plays a key role in supporting plant floor systems and devices, collaborating with MSP teams and 3rd party vendors when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Maintain and support Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade workstations and peripheral hardware/software.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory and support documentation.
  • Educate end users on best practices, IT policies, and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Escalate and coordinate issues with infrastructure, cybersecurity, or application teams as needed.
  • Assist with Active Directory tasks, such as user account provisioning, password resets, and group membership changes.
  • Contribute to documentation of IT processes, SOPs, and system configurations.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree, or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ are preferred.
  • 4–6 years of relevant desktop support experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows 11 and Office 365.
  • Experience supporting end users both onsite and remotely.
  • Familiarity with network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing).
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and basic PowerShell scripting is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift/move equipment up to 40 lbs and navigate warehouse/production floor environments.
