Overview

Work with the Quality Manager to oversee the metrology activities.

Responsibilities

· Work with Quality Manager to assign Metrology Technician workload.

· Effectively inspect components against specifications and measurement system requirements.

· Measure dimensions of products based on customer specification, drawing, internal plan,

and/or internal documentation

· Data Analysis/Review, verify outliers, report results

· Communicate with Engineers, Production, and Quality personnel to ensure proper testing is

completed.

· Troubleshoot potential quality issues.

· Create/Review program on metrology systems (CMM, Micro-Vu, RAM Optical, etc.)

· Maintain Retain Samples.

· Write/modify/review testing protocols and reports.

· Conduct all job duties in accordance with the company’s published policies.

· Perform mold qualifications and/or capability studies.

· Perform physical tests to determine limitations of product for customer use.

· Testing of resin, additive and/or color sampling.

· Improve measurement techniques and testing.

· Educate others on testing procedures regarding new products or tests, as necessary.

· Perform special testing on products specified by customer.

· Enter time and attendance into Kronos for metrology team.

Qualifications

  • Possesses 5-10 years experience in an injection/multilayer/injection blow molding capacity.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Possesses well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Addresses inquiries and resolves problems by using appropriate resources/other departments to achieve results/answers.
  • Ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment.
  • Possesses high ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English.
  • Demonstrates organizational skills and is very detail oriented.
  • Ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment.
  • Ability to interact closely with other departments to support customer focus and efficient operations.
  • Demonstrated analytical and technical ability within field of expertise.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must achieve QA Level III training.
