Responsibilities

PURPOSE:

 

The Warehouse Supervisor is to direct and manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and the shipping department. Responsible for evaluating and training new employees, establishing the daily priorities based on shipping needs, organizing warehouse, coordination of warehouse activities, ensuring that all paperwork relating to the movement of merchandise, within the plant/warehouse is performed efficiently. Also responsible for managing daily, weekly, monthly inventories.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Follow all Company policies as outlined in Handbook
  • Follow all Berry GMPs, Safety Absolutes and Safe Working Policies
  • Follow and drive the safety and food safety culture
  • Accountable for the safety of all employees for whom they are responsible, as well as all employees, through active engagement in safety activities and provides clear, consistent communication of safe work
  • Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper manning in order to ship and receive products at the facility in a productive and cost efficient
  • Directs the day to day activities of the warehouse; such activities include shipping, receiving, housekeeping, maintenance and inventory
  • Ensures that warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform the distribution functions.
  • Responsible for processing all returns, and ensuring warehouse meets all company policies, procedures and
  • Responsible for receiving all incoming
  • Responsible to ensure all trailers are secured when loading. Makes recommendations for training and assists in training personnel in compliance to all company policies and
  • Conducts employee meetings to keep employees informed on goals, company policies/rules and safety. Attends other meetings as
  • Responsible for inventory control, verifying product fits on loads, inter-company transfers.
  • Maintain maintenance on building and equipment for warehouse

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4 year degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in a warehouse environment
  • Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle multiple priorities at once
