Summary:     

We are looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Equipment Maintenance Lead for our maintenance department to support and lead our Equipment Maintenance Technicians,  This awesome leader has experience and knowledge of PLC's, Siemens, Profibus and Allen Bradley drives and ability to troubleshoot relays, fuses, and read schematics of our dry off-set printing machines as well as injection molding machines and automation.  This position is a hands-on, working supervisor 70/30 position.  This awesome leader prides themselves on the safety mindset, hands-on leading style to train, troubleshooting and leading ability to guide their team to success as well as their attention to detail. Monday - Friday 8 Hr First Shift

Bi-Annual Bonus Compensation

Pay range: $25.00 to $35.00/Hr

Responsibilities

  • Maintain GMP/HACCP Practices, Sanitation/housekeeping, Food Safety and Safety Practices.
  • Capable of operating printing presses in production to identify & repair problems
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all machinery, detect failing equipment, troubleshoot, repair and set up all equipment
  • Ability to read the following schematics: mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical functions
  • Ability to use electrical test equipment
  • Understand compressors and transfer systems (pumping and vacuum)
  • Analytical ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments and employees.
  • Supports and investigates situations in which line/equipment stoppage occurs due to perceived, imminent safety risk
  • Communicate with Maintenance Manager and Production Supervisors to identify and assist in resolving problems that develop.
  • Review working conditions of the maintenance employees to ensure that equipment safety standards are met.
  • Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs, maintaining appropriate records.
  • Lead all required meetings with safety (i.e. Pre-shift, Department, Change Management, General communication, Town Hall, etc.)
  • Completes incident investigations, root cause analysis and implements corrective actions accordingly in a timely and thorough manner 
  • Motivates and coaches employees through good communication and frequent performance feedback
  • Communicate with necessary employees to anticipate and prepare for any possible production problems
  • Supervises all employees during the shift
  • Responsible for all processes, equipment, employee’s safety and housekeeping of the areas
  • Assures efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods and elimination of wasteful practices within the department
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form with co-workers and management

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

Directly supervises daily activities of all production and technical hourly employees in the Printing Department.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; disciplining

Qualifications

  • Prefer 3 to 5 years maintenance/electrical experience.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-motivator.
  • Ability to implement, training and administer general safety practices
  • Knowledge and experience troubleshooting high speed manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities.
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform various clean up and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance in using equipment to complete assigned tasks.

  • AC & DC Vector Drive Installation & Programming
  • AC & DC Motor Control Circuit
  • PLC Troubleshooting
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, written and leadership skills
  • Be punctual and maintain good attendance record
  • Electrical experience required
  • Industrial maintenance experience is preferred
  • Basic Electrical experience/understanding is required.(PLCs are a plus.) Willingness to learn is essential.
  • Experience in dry off-set printing presses and equipment is a plus.

Education and/or Experience:

 

Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. 

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.
