Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned:

 

  • Follow established plant wide and department safety rules as well as all GMP, SQF, SOP and Work Instruction guidelines
  • Report any safety concerns or problems to Group Leader
  • Clean molds and prepare for mold setting
  • Pressure test all molds before setting for production
  • Inspect and repair water and air hoses
  • Make necessary plumbing and electrical connections and disconnections needed for mold changes
  • Perform any necessary repairs prior to mold setting
  • Perform mold changes in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot and correct any mold related problems affecting production
  • Clean machine and surrounding  area after mold change
  • Safely operate forklift
  • Maintain tooling work area and mold racks in clean orderly manner
  • Notify Group Leader of replacement parts needed

Qualifications:

  • Capable of working with limited supervision and handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Must successfully complete the forklift training and certification process and maintain license.  
  • Must be able to regularly lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds

 

Education and/or Experience:

 

  • High School diploma, GED equivalent required
  • Ability to perform basic math skills and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Must have the ability to identify and correct problems.
  • Must be mechanically inclined and possess basic trouble shooting skills and proven ability to apply that knowledge
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documents.  Must be able to effectively present information
