Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct supervisor for all shifts in department
  • Ensure that Safety Culture remains top priority 
  • Maintain Quality procedures rigorously to comply with customer needs and process improvements 
  • Develop/execute housekeeping processes to ensure that clean operating facilities are maintained 
  • Manage the Technical and Production teams to meet or exceed budgeted goals 
  • Promote continual technical and procedural improvements in process operations 
  • Monitor and Continuously improve Efficiencies, Scrap, and Labor Spend
  • Partner with Human Resources to ensure that staffing requirements are met by timely selection of leadership and operating personnel and training of the work force 
  • Provide real-time support to employees in the department
  • Support and Enforce all Defined ISO and SQF Requirements
  • Reporting production, efficiencies, and labor daily

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 5 years relevant manufacturing experience at minimum
  • Experience in a management role with a demonstrated record in production positions in an industrial environment 
  • Strong follow-through and leadership acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to lead technical and operating employees in a diverse environment 
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards software very helpful
  • OSHA Training helpful
  • LOTO and other Safety training helpful 
  • Documented plastics training helpful
