Responsibilities

1. Load TL’s for Berry’s internal and external customers accurately, damage free, and in a timely fashion.

2. Pull LTL’s for Berry customers accurately, damage free and in a timely fashion.

3. Cycle count locations ensuring accuracy of product in the warehouse.

4. Operate fork truck safely and skillfully in a challenging environment.

5. Maintain warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion.

6. Anticipate potential inventory control problems and report them.

7. Knowledge of truck loading procedures.

8. Operate bar coding system/JDE.

9. Understanding of daily production schedules as it affects shipping, receiving, and material requirements.

10. Coordinate all documentation and shipment of scrap materials.

11. Ensure that all safety and housekeeping standards are maintained.

12. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.

2. Desire to lead and understand all customers’ requirements as they relate to each of the product-lines shipped to them.

3. Strong organizational skills and proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.

4. Able to work independently in potentially isolated areas of a given warehouse.

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.

6. Excellent attendance record.

7. Knowledge in DSL/DC Link/JDE/a plus.

8. Knowledge and experience in driving a fork truck including passing current license and testing.

9. Ability to climb on and off a forklift safely and without assistance at a minimum of 30 times an hour.

10. Ability to safety operate a forklift in high traffic, low clearance areas while not posing a safety risk to others.

11. Hearing sufficient to recognize and respond to shouted warning, alarms, horns on forklifts.

12. Able to work in extremes of heat/cold.
