Responsibilities

  • Functions as a business partner, providing guidance and counsel in areas of coaching and performance.  Builds strong business relationships with the functional leaders.
  • Works effectively with functional leaders to ensure understanding of current and future workforce needs and implement improvements to staffing processes including sourcing and selection.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring and onboarding employees; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Utilizes metrics to analyze information and evaluate results to problem solve and develop improvement initiatives.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships to provide advice and counsel on employment and organizational matters.
  • Works effectively with Human Resources organization on various HR initiatives.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department.
  • Maintains updates and ensures accuracy of information in HRIS.
  • Completes special projects as established by clarifying project objective, setting timetables and developing and organizing information and fulfilling transactions.
  • Authority to execute disciplinary action, including termination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of demonstrated HR experience.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills required, including experience with MS Office Suite software and knowledge of HRIS software.
  • Highly effective interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills along with strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work independently and exercise good judgement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess ability to maintain confidentiality and establish credibility as a trusted HR professional.
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Must be able to adjust work schedule to accommodate all shifts.
