POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Maintenance Team Leader will oversee and direct the operation of the Maintenance department.  Maintenance Team Leaders will be knowledgeable of all aspects of maintenance including:  installatio9n, repairs, and preventative maintenance of all machines an equipment with the manufacturing facility.  Additionally, this position must have knowledge of basic electrical, and also must be able to read and understand blueprints and hydraulic systems.

 

KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Oversee and perform scheduled, unscheduled, and preventive maintenance on all facilities equipment and installations.
  2. Maintenance and repair of machinery and building.
  3. Checking, recording, and performance of preventative maintenance.
  4. Knowledge of the safe use and care of tools.
  5. Knowledge and use of lock out/tag out procedures.
  6. Knowledge of basic industrial electricity high and low voltage AC/DC.
  7. Maintenance and repair of water, gas, air, pneumatics and hydralic systems.
  8. Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
  9. Practice good housekeeping.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
  11. Obey all safety rules, regulations, and policies.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  1. High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); vocational school; demonstrated mechanicial ability; six or more month related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Must have knowledge of industrial electricity, pipefitting, water, gas, air and hydraulic lines.
  3. Must have a good working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatics.
  4. Regularly required to stand for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
  5. Good hand-eye coodinatio9n is essential.
  6. Occasionaly required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  7. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds.
  8. Must work near moving mechanical parts, and occasionally in outside weather conditions.

  1. Read and comprehend complex, detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  2. Write simple correspondence.
  3. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations.
  4. Apply commensense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  5. deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  6. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide, in all units or measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  7. Read a ruler, dials, and various pieces of measuring equipment.
