Responsibilities

Work just 15 days a Month with a Rotating Schedule!!!

(Bi-weekly Schedule:  work Monday & Tuesday, off Wednesday & Thursday, work Friday, Saturday & Sunday, off Monday & Tuesday, work Wednesday & Thursday, off Friday Saturday & Sunday then the schedule starts over)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drives truck to and from outside warehouses which are located locally.
  • Moves trucks on site as needed including Maintenance trailer and other trailers when full and replace with empty trailers.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks including pallets and corrugated trailer.
  • Assist with inspecting the condition and contents of trucks/trailers prior to loading.
  • Stage material for pick up as needed and load regrind to be shipped.
  • Transport scrap materials and scrap regrind to and from outside warehouse as needed.
  • Conduct safety inspections as required such as forklifts, dock boards, dock locks, chocks jacks and lights.
  • Must have knowledge and understand the JDE receiving screens and be able to successfully process inbounds.
  • Operate scanning and bar-coding equipment to obtain traceability.
  • Must be certified to operate a forklift. Must have been trained and successfully passed the written teat and performance evaluation.
  • Responsible for battery care to include changing and watering batteries and changing propane tanks as needed for procedure.
  • Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by management that the employee has been trained to perform.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Currently holds a valid CDL A Driver’s License
  • Minimum of One (1) year driving experience (short distance/yard jockeying/driving satisfies requirement)
  • Forklift certification
  • Previous shipping & receiving experience required
  • Ability to communicate with peers and customers in a professional manner
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Computer skills—Excel, Word, and Lotus Notes

High School diploma or GED equivalent
