(Bi-weekly Schedule: work Monday & Tuesday, off Wednesday & Thursday, work Friday, Saturday & Sunday, off Monday & Tuesday, work Wednesday & Thursday, off Friday Saturday & Sunday then the schedule starts over)
- Operate stretch blow molding machines and lift equipment, inspect and pack rigid-plastic PET containers, and perform scheduled charting and inspections on machines and associated equipment.
- Start and stop stretch blow molding machines to produce quality, rigid-plastic containers.
- Perform routine inspections, cleaning & lubricating and/or tightening of machine assembles.
- Perform container inspections using test equipment, statistical quality methods & visual inspection techniques.
- Pack containers into boxes/cartons at designated production-line speeds according to specifications & stack packed cartons to build 4 ft. high units.
- Safely operate lift trucks to move materials.
- Perform as a responsible team member to maintain a clean, safe, and effective work environment.
- Operate stretch blow molding machines, pull seepage, apply SPC methodologies for initiating machine adjustments, change materials, assist in changeovers and identify start and stop of out-of-spec production (held ware).
- Responsible for maintaining and adhering to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements.
Responsible for adhering to Food Safety Compliance. - Accountable for the safety of all employees for whom they are responsible through active engagement in safety activities and provides clear, consistent communication of safe work expectations.
- Supports and investigates situations in which line/equipment stoppage occurs due to perceived, imminent safety risk.
- Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, and applicable laws.
- Complete daily attendance roster
- Delegate daily work assignments
- Schedule breaks and assist in relieving operators
- Monitor production schedule for upcoming machine/order changes
- Verify raw materials are in the facility before needed
- Verify completion of production paperwork before submitted
- Schedule overtime when necessary using seniority as a tool
- Manage employees and administer disciplinary actions when necessary
- Enter production and downtime accurately in WebEff database
- Act as representative for supervisor in their absence
- Follow all Safety, Food Safety, GMP and HACCP practices.
- Actively leads risk assessment activities for their area of responsibility by driving prioritized corrective and preventive actions to eliminate/reduce environmental, health or safety risks.
- Lead all required meetings with safety (i.e. Pre-shift, Department, Change Management, General communication, Town Hall, etc.
- Completes incident investigations, root cause analysis and implements corrective actions accordingly in a timely and thorough manner.
- Ensures the proper training and development of all assigned employees for whom they are responsible.
- Sets goals for their organizational unit; achieves goals and ensures that all employees understand and work toward achieving goals.
- Motivates and coaches employees through good communication and frequent performance feedback. Identifies and coordinates additional training as needed
