Responsibilities

The general scope of this position’s responsibility is to organize and manage the warehouse, ensure the plant has the necessary supplies for use by manufacturing, as well as maintaining and managing the size of the warehouse inventory.

 

Essential Job Functions

  1. The supply warehouseman is responsible for organizing the shipping and receiving of all shipments.
  2. Daily inventory counts.
  3. Must be able to break down a production line schedule and coordinate supply requirements with Purchasing.
  4. Responsible for 5S of the warehouse area.
  5. Ability to balance the inventory, (Minimum/Maximum requirements)
  6. Maintain stock items utilizing FIFO (Rotating stock item using First In First Out Method)
  7. Ability to cross train on a variety jobs
  8. Breakout and order schedule dictated items as needed.
  9. Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  1. Ability to pass a forklift driving test.
  2. Basic computer skills.
  3. Knowledge of JDE.
  4. Knowledge of Excel computer program.
  5. Knowledge of basic e-mail, how to send information to vendors.
  6. Ability to understand a production line schedule.
  7. Knowledge of packaging operations.
  8. Ability to wear all PPE as necessary.
