JOB SUMMARY: Stages the productions floors and moves products to locations within the plant or warehouse as necessary. This position reports to the Warehouse & Distribution Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and all safety guidelines
- Follow all departmental SOPs
- Daily inspection and care of equipment
- Locate material into inventory per MEP
- Cycle count and pull material from inventory for work orders
- Load/Unload/Relocate material as needed per Inventory/Production/Shipping/Quality Control requirements
- Operate dock equipment, correct or report any identified issues
- Accurate and legible completion of all required paperwork
- Communicates, interacts, and provides support to all other departments
- Comply with receiving of any material (raw materials, packaging materials, office supplies, production supplies, maintenance supplies and others
- Verify, identify, and inspect a variety of incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods from operations
- Data entry of various inventory transactions using barcode scanner and/or computer system
- Understands shipping/loading requirements, weight requirements, customers' special instructions
- Trouble shoot any material problems including inventory, discrepancies, freight damage, contamination, packaging, or handling issues
- Understands the correlation between production and warehouse finished goods, fixing any issues with pounds and scanning orders
- Quality control of pallets, cores, cradles, boxes, and other packaging materials received by shipping - to eliminate damage product received
- Able to work overtime as needed, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
