Responsibilities

How you’ll perform the role.

Our QA Techs assures that our customer specifications are spot on and packaged according to Berry Global quality standards and guidelines in a safe and efficient manner.     

  • Responsible for blown film inspection and testing including work-in-process and finished goods.
  • Retains product samples. Complete all record keeping and data collection processing. 
  • Maintains local data base.
  • Ensures accuracy of equipment.
  • May assist to investigate complaints and research data.
  • Prepares COA’s and COC’s as requested by customer.
  • Physically test plastic film and confirm a variety of QC measurements such as friction, light transmission, tensile strength, and other related testing.
  • Follows establish procedures and documents record.

Reports out-of-spec processing to production operations.  May hold materials for further evaluations.  

Qualifications

What we need from you

  • Knowledge lab testing procedures
  • Basic blown film properties or related plastics experience
  • Comprehension and use of technical manuals, shop mathematics
  • Good computer aptitude and experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three years related QC experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience using DSC 8000 Differential Scanning Calorimeter, Spectrum 100 FT-IR Spectromter and Davinor Layer Guage a plus.
