POSITION SUMMARY
The Printing Manager coordinates and oversees the activities of the printing area and operating workers sucha as inspectors, precision workers, machine setters and operators, and assemblers. This position is responsible for the operational objectives by contributing information and analysis for strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans, implementation of production, productivity and quality. Additionally, the Printing Manager validates processess by establishing product specifications and measuring production within the printing department.
KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for supervising, overseeing and directing the Print Department and all Lead Printers
- Responsible for monitor workflow, efficiency and quality of all printed products
- Responsible for overseeing all print product sampling and control of printed plate inventory, including the tracking of current revision levels and the disposition of prior revision levels
- Responsible for consistently evaluating/documenting personnel performance as needed
- Responsible for the training of all Print Department associates, evaluation of their progress during probationary period and recommendations for discharge or retention
- Responsible for stimulating the maximum efficiency and productivity of Supervisors, Lead and production associates
- Maintains adherence to all company policies, safety standards, work rules and regulations, established procedures
- Responsible in the event of an injury, for preparing all accident reports by thoroughly investigating the accident. Interview all witnesses and see that the injured employee receives medical treatment
- Responsible for any and all additional tasks, assignments and special projects as assigned by the Plant Manager

- Assume additional Supervisory/Managerial responsibilities for the facility in the absence of the Plant Manager and/or Production Manager
