- Responsible for pulling orders to ship using the dcLINK system and for any special requirements for the order they are pulling. These requirements include, but are not limited to: re-labeling, re-wrapping, checking customer codes, re-stacking, adding pallet hangers or labels, or any other requirement as instructed by the Customer Service notes attached to each order.
- Responsible for loading and unloading trucks and for inspecting the trailers that they are loading the product into.
- Responsible for moving finishing goods from production line and staging on a trailer for shipment to outside warehouse.
- Responsible for inspecting all product being unloaded from a truck for damage, that appropriate paperwork is completed, and that all documents associated with the shipment have been turned in for receiving purposes.
- Assures inventory accuracy and records by correctly using the dcLINK system to scan in all finished goods, moves to new locations, all stages for shipment, and all outbound
- Verify that all components of the sales order are present to be shipped
- Takes precautions to protect warehouse contents against loss, and reports any damage or lost product to Shipping/Warehouse Manager or Shipping Coordinator.
- Responsible for maintaining the Food Safety Program (GMP)
- Other duties as assigned
PPE Required – Requirements are proper hearing protection, safety glasses (prescription if required), steel-toed shoes, hairnet, beardnet (if employee has chin hair greater than 1/8 inch).
Authorities:
- Perform essential functions and assigned duties while communicating any deviations from the requirements to management
- Report any safety concerns to management and to shut down any equipment that presents a safety hazard
- Identify nonconforming product and segregate into appropriate containment bins so as to not become part of the finished product. This includes making the personnel aware of this nonconformance for further action
