PURPOSE:

Oversee and direct all that transpires in the Molding Department

RESPONSIBILITIES and AUTHORITY:

• To produce quality molded product in a safe, efficient, and profitable manner.
• To assist the plant manager in any way.
• To lead the department based on the Quality Vision Statement.
• To maximize production and minimize scrap.
• To identify problem areas in the department, and set in motion corrective action.
• To help train the molding technical staff.
• To hold meetings with the technical staff and the molding department as a whole.
• To make the Molding Department a safe place to work.
• To schedule the Molding Department personnel.
• Responsible for department manual.
• Maintain and enforce all company policies.
• Responsible for approving vacations for all molding salaried personnel.
• Responsible for molding efficiencies, and molding budget.
• Responsible for ensuring the compliance with product safety guidelines.
• Responsible for ensuring employees are trained and comply with the Berry Safety Absolutes.
• Responsibilities and Authority include assuring compliance with federal, state, government and/or any appropriate regulatory law or guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BA or BS in Business Management, Injection Molding, Plastics, is a plus.
• Able to supervise people.
• Injection Molding experience preferred.
• Self-starter with eagerness to learn and take initiative.
