Responsibilities

The Plant Scheduler will manage inventory levels of finished goods and to support availability for high shipping levels. Create and maintain production schedule to achieve high productivity and meet customer demands.

 

Requirements

· Schedule the production process and production departments by Material, Employee and Equipment availability to minimize company costs.

· Monitor workflow and schedules to ensure on-time

· Developed effective scheduling process and implement process

· Performs duties in a safe manner; Acts as a role model for Safety.

· Review production specifications in order to identify and report plant capacity

· Analyze and address production issues in a timely manner including manpower and material shortages and work with relevant departments to

· Provide daily production status updates for Production

· Issue priority list to guide the production

· Alert customer service of any delays in meeting the current

· Coordinate with Production Team to develop and execute production

· Work with Managers to develop potential solutions to improve production

· Coordinate with production, purchasing and finance teams to develop and maintain scheduling

· Generate various inventory related reports to Managers for critical decision-making purposes (i.e. inventory projections, tableau, DOH).

· Review various reports daily adding or modifying work orders

· Coordinates and requests sufficient materials for Production needs from Warehouse using the Pull Report and other analytical data

· Provide capacity updates for new business and increased

· Direct plant transfers through warehouse

· Participate in regular phone and web-based conference calls.

· Use software (JDE, Preactor, Logility, and AWOG) to generate reports and manage

· Review and maintain item master data.

· Participates in and leads employee driven teams to address scrap, quality, safety, or other production related issues; actively participates in cost savings activities.

· Monitor pricing with vendors to insure best value to meet requirements.

· Authorize to enter stock transfers of repro, and finished goods to maintain inventory in other facilities

· Work close with all shifts to ensure customer needs are consistently met.

· Organize converting film area for inventory and efficient use of space.

· Follow and support all Company safety, GMP, QMS, and HACCP policies.

· Other duties may be assigned.

· Must have 4-year technical degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering or other related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· 3-5 years blown film extrusion/conversion experience preferred

· ISO 9000 experience preferred.

· Must be able to regularly required to talk, hear, sit, walk, stand, and use hands and fingers.

· Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
