PURPOSE: To plan, organize and direct the activities of the Thermoforming Engineering Group
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Set priorities and direct the Engineering Group in day-to-day activities.
2. Work with engineering group to develop and implement capital projects that will reduce costs and improve operating efficiency.
3. Oversee and provide engineering for new equipment upgrades and special projects in the Thermoforming Department.
4. Assist Product Development with new product lines.
5. Aid in the testing of process ability of new or advanced resins.
6. Convey production run status with the Plant Director
7. Prioritize machine / mold issues.
8. Complete and analyze monthly efficiency reports.
9. Respond to customer complaints and implement corrective / preventive action.
10. Oversee performance reviews and personally review engineers.
11. Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and department of health requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
2. Working knowledge of thermoforming equipment.
3. Proven ability to lead, motivate and direct employees.
4. Prior experience in analyzing production and financial reports.
5. Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance (corrected or uncorrected) and a minimal near vision ability to read 10 – 12 point font at a distance of 12 – 18 inches.
