DAY and NIGHT SHIFT AVAILABLE 6:45am -7:00pm or 6:45pm to 7:00am. Rotating 2-2-3 schedule with every other weekend off.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Installs, maintains and repairs production machinery, auxiliary equipment, packaging
equipment/automation and attends to building maintenance.
• Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and plant
systems such as molding machines, auxiliary equipment, etc.
• Troubleshoots electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical problems.
• Makes repairs and tests equipment for operation.
• Orders parts/equipment for projects.
• Operates cutting torch, or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Installs programs or repairs electrical apparatus and installs new or repaired parts.
• Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
• Enters and follows up on work orders PEM system
• Responsible for the safety of yourself, your co-workers, and the environment.
• Identify and report safety concerns through near misses and observations.
• Always strive for zero waste, zero litter, and involvement in the recycling program.
• Be actively engaged in safety and quality programs.
• Staff are informed and held accountable for their food safety and regulatory responsibilities;
• Staff are positively encouraged and required to notify management of actual or potential food safety issues; and
• Staff are empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work
EDUCATIONAL, SKILL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment maintaining automated equipment preferred
• Previous experience working with and maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems required
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic diagrams for troubleshooting.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems effectively
• Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instruction.
• Ability to effectively receive information and present information in one-on-one group situations to employees or a group of employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Standing, bending, stooping, and twisting are required.
• Ability to climb on and off a forklift safely and without assistance.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift in high traffic, low clearance areas while not posing a safety risk to others. (Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness).
• Hearing sufficient to recognize and respond to shouted warnings, alarms, and horns on forklifts.
• Ability to work at heights (Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness).
• Able to climb ladders safely and without assistance (Must not be at risk of sudden alternations in consciousness).
• Able to manually manipulate and safely use tools/parts required for the job
• Able to work overhead and in various positions on a frequent basis.
• Able to stand/walk for 7 hours of an 8-hour shift or 11 hours of a 12-hour shift.
• Maintain a level of housekeeping that is aligned with the company’s safety and quality expectations.
• Able to be read and comprehend equipment manuals to work on equipment independently
