Responsibilities

  • Schedule and track vacation requests from employees in the departments and arrange the coverage needed to support the facility.
  • Understand and monitor JDE online production schedule.
  • Be able to create presentations of department metrics for communication to management.
  • Capable of project management including conducting meetings with other team members for updates and status documentation and communication.
  • Setting up and operation of cut and fold machines, slitters, high speed folders.
  • Supporting and understanding lining machines, both compression lining and offline lining.
  • Supporting and understanding of decoration equipment to include offset printing and hot stamping.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting operation of the equipment.
  • Setup and maintain vision systems to be at the quality standard required while preventing any unnecessary scrap/waste.
  • Maintain correct spare parts inventory and drawings as available.
  • Able to create and modify cad drawings of tooling and communicate these to vendors/suppliers.
  • Maintaining, revising, repairing, scheduling, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Able to keep documentation of downtime, scrap, production efficiencies, etc., and process that information to be tracked in metrics.
  • Create and perform continuous improvement projects and activities for the department.
  • Manage and lead any non-confomity issues of product or equipment
  • Research downtime events on Auxiliary equipment.
  • Give direction to the Auxiliary Supervisor & assist other technicians as needed.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Plant Manager.

Qualifications

  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of maintaining an attendance record within company guidelines and working required overtime.
  • Associates or greater college degree in related field, and/or 3-5 years experience in related field in supervisory position.
  • Capable of successfully completing Arc Flash Training and certification.
  • Read, write and speak English.
  • Past experience / proven ability within the specified disciplines.
  • Negative drug screen test results.
