RESPONSIBILITIES:   

• Set-up and operation of production utility machinery per specifications.
• Maintains resin/additive levels in blenders and hoppers and perform effective changeovers.
• Responsible for ensuring the line is running quality film at optimal rate and monitored throughout the shift.
• Plan for changeovers by having cores cut, material staged, drain time sheets made, packaging supplies ready, etc.
• Perform QA responsibilities for updating the QA database and double checking verification checklists
• Perform Floater responsibilities for assisting other setups, watching materials, checking alarms, assisting in packaging of production rolls and change overs
• Effectively transports finished goods and raw materials to storage areas using a forklift.
• Effectively handles and documents loose roll scrap for disposition as directed by the production supervisor.
• Adhere to Berry Global Safety Absolutes and all safety policies while reporting all maintenance and safety issues immediately
• Participate in continuous improvement of operation.
• Performs Daily preventive maintenance as assigned
• Continuously pursue the establishment and reinforcement of a high performance work team environment
• Maintain good housekeeping practices and clean area as needed.
• Must work effectively with co-workers as a team member and support safe, quality production
• Performs and assists in other tasks as directed by supervision/management
• Maintains Good Manufacturing Practices
• Complete any other reports as required by senior management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience working in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to trouble shoot, multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude, motivated, good organizational skills and strong communication skills
• Reliable with a strong attendance record
• Ability to interface with employees at all levels within the facility
• Safety orientated with a continuous improvement mindset
