Responsibilities

Night Shift: 6:45pm - 7am working a 2-2-3 Schedule with every other weekend off

 

PURPOSE:  This position is responsible for monitoring processes, operating equipment, inspecting parts and materials, attaining production goals, and maintaining a clean workplace.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Report to Shift Supervisor.
  • Work as a team member to obtain plant & departmental goals
  • Safely operate equipment in a manner to ensure a maximum product throughput and minimum downtime including clearing & restarting machinery if instructed.
  • Visually inspect & gauge product in production. Ensure proper labeling is completed and required.
  • Report any non-conformances to front line leadership.
  • Correctly complete daily production reports & submit at shift’s end, if applicable.
  • Set up of new order labels for daily operations.
  • Feed materials to machines to keep production running Including packaging product if applicable.
  • Read & interpret travelers and work orders
  • Perform routine housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance as assigned/required.
  • Work & perform to ISO standards, SOPs and established Work Instructions
  • Uphold Quality Standards & follow the Absolutes.
  • Staff are informed and held accountable for their food safety and regulatory responsibilities;
  • Staff are positively encouraged and required to notify management of actual or potential food safety issues; and
  • Staff are empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

CONTRIBUTION TO SAFETY, QUALITY AND GMP: 

  • Maintain a clean, healthy and safe workplace by ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Conduct required safety reviews of equipment and processes prior to project startup.
  • Support the accomplishment of your work groups through the quality, timeliness and professionalism of your attitude.
  • Supply accurate and timely data as required by performance tracking and reporting.
  • Uphold Safety Absolutes
  • Apply resources in a manner that maximizes their effectiveness while assuring quality.   
  • Maintain a work environment that will contribute to the assurance of safety and GMP compliance.
  • Adhere to established procedures, perform self-checking and pay attention to detail in the performance of you and your team’s work.
  • Notify management in a timely manner of any problems with procedural compliance.
  • Report observed quality problems and deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Make recommendations to management for improving the quality and efficiency of your work.
  • Oversee work to ensure projects are completed.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL, SKILL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting
  • Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Capable of lifting up to 45 lbs. repeatedly
  • Data Entry skills and abilities at a moderate level
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Detail orientated; great eye for detail
  • Pallet Jack Operation; includes manual and electric
  • Lock out/Tag out adherence and training
  • Capable of maintaining an attendance record within Company guidelines and working required overtime.
  • Previous experience in an assembly operation preferred
