POSITION SUMMARY
The QA Technician reports to the QA Manager. In performing the responsibilities of resin management and parts inspection, employees are to work safely, efficiently and cooperatively in a manner that demonstrates team member involvement.
KEY FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- At the beginning of each shift check the production schedule, walk the floor to become familiar with the products that are running, and consult with the outgoing technician for any items of concern.
- Collect samples from each injection molding machine, secondary process, and print line for the required attribute/dimensional/functional testing per the specified frequency. Record the results on the appropriate forms.
- Notify the Shift Supervisor of any non-conformance that are found. Monitor active concerns for prompt resolution and elevate issue up the Management chain if the non-conformance is not being addressed.
- Notify Quality Control Manager of any quality defects which are not corrected promptly.
- Identify non-conforming product with "Hold" labels and update the hold log.
- Update Data Collection sheets as required.
- Perform in-process attribute verifcation and document checks. Record the results on the Quality monitor.
- Perform first shot verification and document the results using the appropriate forms.
- Assist as necessary with LDR Verification.
- Notify the Quality Manager immediately of any Quality Department equipment deficiencies.
- At the end of the shift communicate any ongoing concerns/lingering issues to incoming technician.
- All other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
