Responsibilities
- Observe all Safety precautions, Food Safety requirements and Plant rules to prevent injury to self or others and to prevent loss of material or damage to equipment.
- Follow and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain good housekeeping and 5S.
- Trouble shooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic aspects of production equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance in the facility, infrastructure, and equipment.
- Able to keep records of work completed in work order system and communicate within the department and other departments.
- Maintains safe, clean, and orderly work areas.
- Perform routine and assigned railcar and chemical systems maintenance.
- Diagnose equipment problems and make repairs and/or replacements of mechanisms such as tie rods, solenoid valves, sprue bushings, nozzle heaters, conveyor belts, drives, low voltage, and high voltage electrical systems.
- Able to understand and follow food safety requirements per the SQF standard.
Qualifications
- Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Training required in one or more major areas of maintenance and/or two years of experience.
- Possess functional knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair/maintenance on manufacturing equipment with one year minimum practical application.
- Possess basic knowledge and ability to use hand tools.
- Working knowledge of PLC’s required.
- Basic computer skills, Excel, Word, Outlook
- Powerpoint and Autocad are a plus but not required.
- Programming experience preferred.
