The Corporate – People Director develops the human capital agenda and provides human resources leadership for the 600+ Berry Global corporate employees located in Evansville, IN and throughout the world.  The individual works closely with the Company’s executive leadership team to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives to optimize organizational effectiveness and business results.  The role works collaboratively with the entire Global HR team including HR business units and HR functional leaders.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Partner with colleagues across the People Team to deliver key HR processes including workforce planning, talent acquisition, organizational effectiveness, talent management, succession planning, communications, employee relations, compensation, rewards & recognition, diversity & inclusion, training and employee development.
  • Work closely with functional direct reports to the CEO including HR, Finance, Legal and IT to anticipate and lead organizational change, identify capability gaps and align HR resources to business objectives.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with managers, individual contributors and other key stakeholders to provide advice and counsel on employee-related and organizational matters.
  • Serve as business partner/facilitator, team builder, problem solver and creative pro-active change agent. Drive a values-based, highly engaging culture by planning and executing organization development initiatives.
  • Assure compliance with corporate/government regulations and requirements.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA with Masters preferred.
  • 8 years progressive human resources leadership or related experience.
  • High degree of business acumen with an understanding of business strategy and key business drivers
  • Willingness to travel 25% of the time which may include internationally.
  • Proven coaching, influencing, communication and facilitation skills.
  • Strong analytical, planning skills and a data-based approach to decision making.
  • Able to balance multiple customer priorities.
  • Results oriented.
  • Team player and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work at multiple organizational levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Demonstrated experience/skills in leading change.
