Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY: The Converting Lead is a hands-on, working operator capable of performing and monitoring the in-house converting operation, including the functioning of all associated auxiliary equipment. It shall be incumbent upon this individual to execute all specifications, in the safest, most timely and highest quality manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Facilitate the efficient start-up of each workday to maximize production up-time.
  2. Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  3. Responsible for increasing shift productivity and minimize product and time losses.
  4. Should be knowledgeable on all aspects of the converting processes and machinery.
  5. Responsible for directing and managing the product samples and all required record keeping to the Quality Department.
  6. Maintain their employee’s attendance records and monitors the break and lunch policies.
  7. Cover technically for the Converting Supervisor during absences.
  8. Be proficient with all aspects of all the modules related to the converting process, including the entering, updating and accessing of Converting information.
  9. Responsible for implementing the annual Converting Loss Reduction Program.
  10. Assists employees in all product related issues.
  11. Gives input to the supervisor in employee performance evaluations.
  12. Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by his/her supervisor.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma or GED or have a least a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • The individual should be fluent in English.
  • The individual must have a mechanical aptitude.
  • The individual must be capable of interfacing with operating and staff personnel.
  • The individual must have the ability to drive a forklift, lift, climb, push, pull, roll drum containers, bags, etc.
  • The use of small tools may be required.
  • Protective equipment, such as safety shoes and glasses are required as necessary

Comepensation: $26 to $28 per hour
