Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Follow and support all Company safety, GMP, HACCP and ISO policies
  • Conduct tear tests as required
  • Conduct dart drop tests as required
  • Gauge film using measure tech as required
  • Give breaks to Packers as needed/required.
  • Fill in for Production Packer on all lines
  • Change and update Travelers
  • Inventory supplies weekly
  • Perform quality checks on all lines and take appropriate action on non-conforming product.
  • Report non-conformances to Lead SQC and/or Dept Lead
  • Label packaging as needed
  • Use computer to run labels, schedules and Travelers
  • Fill in for Lead SQC as requested
  • Maintain housekeeping, empty trash and move to compactor, clean break room and other tasks as assigned
  • Estimate production rates and coordinate with other SQC, Lead SQC, and Section Leads

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred

  • 6 months worked as a Production Packer or Quality Inspector

  • Ability to use a computer

  • Knowledge in performing quality testing on products

  • Ability to operator a forklift

  • Ability to train new employees

  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the company

  • Ability to work with various work-related documentation

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, area, surfaces, measures, circumference and volume/basic algebra and geometry

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds/pull or push up to 100 pounds unassisted

  • Ability to reach, climb, kneel, bend or twist up to 66% of the work shift
