Responsibilities

PURPOSE:

As a Section Lead in the Sioux Falls production plant, you will be responsible for managing a section of the production floor.  These responsibilities include setting up, running and adjusting manufacturing equipment to produce quality plastic film and bag products.  In addition, you will train employees, direct and assign work, address complaints, and promote a safe working environment.  You will report to a Department Lead.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Follow and support all Company safety, GMP and HACCP policies
  • Make timely adjustments on equipment to maintain strong yields and maximize production
  • Work with maintenance personnel to troubleshoot and complete minor repairs
  • Manage a section of up to 6 employees- training, directing work, problem resolution, etc.
  • Perform quality checks

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education- knowledge normally acquired through the completion of a High School Diploma or GED is preferred
  • Two years’ experience working in a manufacturing related field
  • Ability to operator a fork lift, use hand tools and measuring instruments
  • Knowledge of resin blends
  • Experience operating an extruder and air rings
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels of the company including
  • Ability to read and understand work orders
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, push/pull up to 100 pounds
