Responsibilities

Summary:  

Remove and set molds.  Maintain molds to produce quality parts, perform all aspects of mold trouble shooting and repair.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Follow all Safety rules- is trained and follows all Berry Safety Standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with product safety guidelines.
  • Arrive in the Tool Shop on time and ready to perform work assignments.
  • Be ready to start your shift with all required PPE, Ear Plugs, Safety glasses, Safety Shoes, Long Sleeved shirts, (Arc Fash).
  • Perform mold changes and mold maintenance tasks as scheduled by the Tool Room Lead or Molding Manager.
  • Be familiar with all department procedures and assist wherever required.
  • Remove and Set Molds into Injection Molding Machines
  • Setup and troubleshoot Mold heat controllers.
  • Keep Tooling area and the equipment clean and in good working order.
  • Help keep track of tooling supplies and there inventory levels.
  • Complete all assigned Paperwork.
  • Follow all Department Procedures.

Education and/or Experience:

 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and three to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills:

 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. 

 

Mathematical Skills:

 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers and decimals.

 

Reasoning Ability:

 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.
