POSITION SUMMARY
Feeder / Packers rotate within the print shop department feeding, packing and stacking the product meeting all quality standards for customer orders. In performing these responsibilities, employees are to work safely, efficiently and cooperatively in a manner that demonstrates team member involvement.
KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for embodying Berry's Behaviors and Values at all times
Demonstrates personal commitment to safety in the workplace, actively wears required safety PPE (personal protective equipment), demonstrates safe work behaviors, supports safety activities and is aware of surroundings
Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area. Assist in housekeeping when production is down, slow and prior to the end of shift. Area must be orderly prior to leaving for end of shift.
Assist in housekeeping when the print operation is down for change over, allowing for a safe work area
Inspect containers for quality defects before printing and after printing, ability to stop the press or equipment when a malfunction occurs
Abides by Plant and Department safety practices including proper lifting, bending and reaching
Signs or initials each proper tray pack label for shipping
Will work with the Lead Printer to understand the customer order; type of product to be printed on, quantity of printed product and the quality criteria of the print to be placed on each piece
Understand the stack and quantity per tray, the direction of the product stack on the tray: keeps openings up or down, handles turned in and proper labeling
Follows proper placement of container onto the mandrel to avoid damaging the product or equipment
Stays focused on tasks, maintains consistent pace and does not allow containers to back up in the dryer

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Must be able to keep-up with the fast-paced consistent production cycles.
Position requires agility and consistent attention to detail
Enjoys constant repetitious routine tasks
Some workstations may require sitting or standing for long periods of time
Must be able to frequently and safely lift, bend, and reach to perform necessary job functions
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds safely
Must be able to identify alpha / numeric product codes
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holiday and over-time
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Previous printing experience a plus but not required
Being able to read, write and communicate in English would be a plus
