Responsibilities

  • Responding to any emergency or potential emergency.
  • Security diligence, including maintaining control of personal key cards, preventing unauthorized entry to the facility by non-Berry employees, and proper maintenance / security of Berry information and equipment within your direct responsibility.
  • Constant vigilance and participation in Food Safety practices.
  • Prevent nonconforming product from being shipped to customers.
  • Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality system.
  • Observe all Safety precautions, Food Safety requirements and Plant rules to prevent injury to self or others and to prevent loss of material or damage to equipment.
  • Follow and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain good housekeeping and 5S.
  • Ensure production equipment maintains quality standards.
  • Perform tooling installation and job set-up.
  • Perform machine troubleshooting and processing.
  • Improve production efficiencies.
  • Perform preventative and repair maintenance of all auxiliary, assembly and printing equipment, such as vision systems, conveyors, slitting, folding, and lining equipment.
  • Responsible for assisting the machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Maintain effective repair documentation.
  • Communicate effectively within a team.
  • Basic Knowledge for accessing My Development, JDE, Berry E-mail, Controlled Documents, Self Service and any other Berry applications needed.
  • Ability to work at heights above 4 feet.

Qualifications

  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of maintaining an attendance record within company guidelines and working required overtime.
  • Capable of successfully completing Arc Flash training/certification.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Read, write and speak English.
  • Past experience / proven ability within the specified disciplines.
  • Negative drug screen test results.
  • Must possess a strong mechanical background.
  • Must have at least two years of previous industrial operations experience and/or classes pertaining to the job.
