Responsibilities

  • Responding to any emergency or potential emergency.
  • Security diligence, including maintaining control of personal key cards, preventing unauthorized entry to the facility by non-Berry employees, and proper maintenance / security of Berry information and equipment within your direct responsibility.
  • Constant vigilance and participation in Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Production practices.
  • Prevent nonconforming product from being shipped to customers.
  • Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality system.
  • Observe all Safety precautions, Food Safety requirements and Plant rules to prevent injury to self or others and to prevent loss of material or damage to equipment.
  • Follow and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain good housekeeping and 5S.
  • Efficiently and effectively operate specific automation equipment to prevent downtime.
  • Manage raw materials throughout automation equipment (inspect, load, replace, etc).
  • Perform duties quickly to avoid production back up. May include taping, lifting, stacking finished goods.
  • Responsible for unjamming equipment, restarting automation process and overseeing reject stations.
  • Complete proper documentation for identification and traceability.
  • Perform and document cleaning and sanitation responsibilities.
  • Alert Shift Coordinator or QA of noticeable defects to raw materials and/or finished goods.
  • Perform routine housekeeping and maintenance task as assigned by Shift Coordinator. 

Qualifications

  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, climbing stairs and lifting up to 50 lbs. for 12 consecutive hours, in hot and cold environments.
  • Maintain an attendance record within company guidelines and working required overtime.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
  • Read, write and speak English.
  • Past experience / proven ability within the specified disciplines.
  • Computer literacy / skills are required.
  • Negative drug screen test results.
