Responsibilities

PURPOSE:   

As a member of the team, you will have an opportunity to lead employees, oversee all projects including installation and vendor involvement, and manage major PLC/programming issues. This position is within a fast-paced industrial setting, where every day is unique and interesting. Your focus on following all safety guidelines, maintenance schedules, manufacturer’s recommendations and other best practices will help you find a high level of success in this role. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Follow and support all company safety, GMP, and HACCP policies
  • Follow and support all company ISO, QMS, QSI and 5S policies
  • Train new employees and perform weekly evaluations
  • Provide technical direction for day-to-day activities
  • Performs required equipment repairs in a timely manner. 
  • Performs preventative and/or required maintenance on production equipment in a timely manner. 
  • Performs monthly facility inspections per schedule. 
  • Attends monthly safety meetings and follows all company safety policies and procedures. 
  • Clean or change out all air filters in the plant. 
  • Assist in major projects.  
  • Work with production and management to improve systems and equipment
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all plant utilities systems

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in electrical/mechanical
  • 5 years + experience in an industrial maintenance field
  • nowledge and skill in troubleshooting of hydraulic, electronic and pneumatic systems. 
  • Knowledge of and skill in using all hand tools.  
  • Knowledge of and skill in basic use of a computer.  
  • Knowledge of and skill in operating a forklift.  
  • Excellent mathematical skills.  
  • Knowledge of and skill in electrical systems including PLC’s
  • Knowledge of and skill in Programming/Ladder Logic
  • Knowledge of and skill in domestic water systems including chillers
  • Knowledge of and skill in fire protection
  • Knowledge of and skill in motors/drives, air exhaust, supply/resin handling systems
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work activities and to handle multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Ability to communicate major issues, including down time to managers
  • Ability to make practical decisions without appreciable direction or advance preparation
  • Ability to manage changing priorities
