Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

  • Verify weight of finished products meets requirements given on spec sheet.
  • Ensure finished products are scanned into production and packed properly.
  • Operate the palletizer to stack and secure products on pallets.
  • Identify production line needs and adjust tasks accordingly.
  • Adjust box machine to follow proper measurements provided by the traveler.
  • Coordinate with other operators to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Utilize computer systems for production tasks such as printing labels.
  • Perform basic housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and efficient work area.
  • Navigate JDE efficiently to maintain production schedule. 
  • Make minor adjustments and set up equipment when needed.
  • Prep downstream equipment for start up when needed.
  • Threading rope/assisting the operator in bringing lines into production when needed.
  • Following proper PPE policies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/logistics environment, a plus. 
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols. 
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Basic computer literacy skills. 
  • Ability to lift and move moderate weight (up to 50 lbs). 
  • Ability to do functional math (adding, subtracting, multiplying and division) 
  • Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English 
  • Ability to perform certain tasks such as lifting and operate in a non-climate-controlled facility. 
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, to included weekends, and holidays 
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Operators and Production Supervisor  
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. 
  • Handling wooden pallets. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift 35 pounds to waist level. 
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend push, carry, or stoop in repetitive motions during entire shift. 
  • Must be able to perform job with or without reasonable accommodations.
