As a DEI Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across all aspects of our organization. You will work closely with the VP, DEI to assist in the implementation of strategies, initiatives, and programs aimed at fostering a more inclusive workplace culture. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of diversity, equity, and inclusion while contributing to meaningful organizational change.

Responsibilities

 

-  Assist in research efforts to identify best practices and emerging trends in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

-  Support the planning and execution of DEI-related events, workshops, and training sessions.

-  Help analyze data related to diversity metrics and assist in preparing reports and presentations.

-  Contribute to the development of educational materials and resources on topics such as unconscious bias, cultural competence, and allyship.

-  Participate in DEI-related meetings, to provide insights and perspectives.

-  Assist in the coordination of business resource groups (BRGs) and other affinity networks.

-  Support internal communication efforts to promote DEI initiatives and foster dialogue across the organization.

-  Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

-  Undertake special projects and assignments as directed by the VP, DEI.

 

Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, preferably in a field related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, social sciences, human  resources, or a related discipline.

- Strong passion for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Previous experience or coursework in diversity, equity, and inclusion, human resources, sociology, or related fields is preferred but not required.
