Responsibilities

  1. Work in conjunction with the molding team to solve issues with automation equipment.
  2. Work unsupervised in maintaining equipment, tools, and work area.
  3. Respond to production calls for assistance on automation related equipment.
  4. Assist in the set-up / tuning of appropriate equipment following a mold change.
  5. Perform a daily visual inspection of on-line equipment to detect malfunctions.
  6. Perform repairs associated with the red tag program
  7. Assist Injection Automation Engineers and department management with project requests.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of tools and work area.
  9. Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and department of health requirements.

Qualifications

  1. LOTO certified
  2. Arc Flash certified
  3. JDE work order entry
  4. Repair automation equipment encompassing electrical, mechanical, & pneumatic breakdowns.
  5. Tune robotic applications as production needs arise.

Qualifications

  1. High School diploma / GED equivalent.
  2. Knowledge of mechanical systems and proven ability to apply that knowledge.
  3. Commitment to complete four year Berry Global maintenance mechanic apprenticeship program.
  4. Able to work independently and with others.
  5. Dependable and motivated
  6. Ability to safely operate a forklift in high traffic, low clearance areas while not posing a safety risk to others.
  7. Able to climb ladders safely.
  8. Able to work overhead or in awkward positions on a frequent basis.
  1. Ability to work safely on elevated surfaces.
  2. Ability to lift 50 pounds; 20 pounds over shoulder height.
  3. Able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
  4. Hearing sufficient to recognize and respond to verbal warnings, alarms, and horns on forklifts.
  5. Verbal communication adequate to use a radio and or paging system to contact other co-workers in the other areas of the complex.
  6. Flexibility to stay over or come in early to meet department objectives.
