This position is responsible for all technical aspects of process innovation projects from the point of research to full production capability including all milestones, process development and performance specifications, project budget and schedule.

 

Responsibilities

· Coordinate and manage all aspects of projects from idea/concept, 3D cad models, quoting, implementation, and commercialization.

· Develop and seek alignment on project economics, value assessment, and business case

· Investigate and develop innovative process and part handling solutions through collaboration with project teams and senior management.

· Work with the pilot plant on installation and start-up of prototype systems.

· Work with plant operations teams on installation and start-up of systems.

· Has authority to execute projects in order to reach the intended results. Has the power to enforce or influence behaviors or actions of the project team that are necessary to attain the results for which they are accountable.

· Must be assertive, creative and data driven to keep projects on time and within budget to meet deliverables while practicing intelligent risk management with consultation from team members, peers, and senior management.

· Responsible for reporting deviations on time, cost, and deliverable project components to senior management as project progresses.

· Responsible for adherence to Berry, industry, and/or regulatory procedures.

· Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and department of health requirements

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience

· Four years experience in manufacturing and design, including: part handling, automation, plastics processing, and exposure to controls.

· Experience with 2D design and 3D CAD modeling programs.

· Prior experience working in a product or process innovation environment.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required for data driven project management.

· Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously

· Ability to prioritize, multi-task, be an innovative outside-the-box thinker, and be results-oriented

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Self-motivated individual

· Ability to travel as needed.
