This position is responsible for all technical aspects of a product innovation project from the point of concept through commercialization.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate and manage all stages of a product innovation projects, which include scoping, ideation, proof of concept, proof of principle, business case, implementation, and commercialization.

2. Utilize the model shop and 3D printing resources to drive prototype design and development.

3. Work with the pilot and plant operations teams on installation and start-up of all new prototype molds or tooling.

4. Has authority to execute projects and influence the actions of the project team as necessary to achieve the desired results.

5. Must be assertive, creative and data driven to keep projects on time and within budget to meet deliverables while managing risk with consultation from team members, peers, and senior management.

6. Responsible for reporting deviations on time, cost, and deliverable project components to senior management as project progresses.

7. Responsible for adherence to Berry, industry, and/or regulatory procedures.

8. Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and department of health requirements.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.

2. 5 years experience with a multitude of plastic manufacturing processes including: injection molding, compression molding, blow molding, and thermoforming.

3. Experience with 2D design and 3D CAD modeling programs.

4. Prior experience working in a packaging development and innovation environment.

5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required for data driven project management.

6. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously

7. Ability to prioritize, multi-task, be an innovative outside-the-box thinker, and be results-oriented

8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

9. Self-motivated individual

10. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, as needed.
