Responsibilities

This position supports the day-to-day functions for specific inventory in the plant and is responsible for the daily handling, warehousing, and distribution of materials.  This position will maintain a high level of inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, tracking of inventory movements, assisting in enforcing inventory process compliance, and performing inventory audits as needed. This is a detail-oriented position that must maintain a high level of accuracy after extensive cycle counting and data entry. The position will also assist in a variety of warehouse projects and will also occasionally assist in receiving and organizing functions. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties are applicable to both the Plant (Monte Vista) and the Warehouse.

 

  • Adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Organizes work for smooth operations
  • Maintain and update inventory records
  • Review and apply inventory activities, including movements and deletions
  • Develop and implement efficient inventory management procedures
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies
  • Performs cycle counts of all inventory types to ensure accurate inventory levels
  • Assist in warehouse projects related to inventory, materials management, etc.
  • Researches and resolves stock discrepancy issues and performs the appropriate systematic corrections to reconcile physical to systematic inventory accuracy         
  • Report any stock issues to management and place product orders as necessary
  • Prepare a list of depleted products and survey of unusable products for reordering
  • Serve as backup for the Resin Handlers and Receiving
  • Train Material Handlers on how to use DC link for material movements
  • Responsible for adhering to and executing the applicable Environmental Health & Safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for all employees according to Berry, local, state, and federal requirement-regulations.
  • Conduct targeted inventory audits to ensure accuracy and resolve inventory control issues
  • Communicate with internal departments to provide information and answer questions related to inventory levels and statuses
  • Perform all transactions using JDE and or DC link
  • Maintain Proper housekeeping
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Be able to manage workload and schedule own breaks during shift
  • Will support the material handlers as needed in unloading delivery trucks and checking incoming shipments against product invoices, organizing and storing shipments until they receive outgoing order requests and notifying management personnel when they don’t have enough of a particular product to fulfill orders. 
  • Implement a loss prevention program

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED preferred

 

Pay Scale: $21.50 - $23.50 per hour
