Responsibilities

Ensuring production equipment maintains quality standards, perform tooling installation and job set-up, machine troubleshooting and processing, improve production efficiencies, perform preventative and repair maintenance of all auxiliary assembly equipment, such as vision systems, conveyors, slitting, folding, and lining equipment.

 

Applicant will be responsible for assisting the machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime, maintaining effective repair documentation, and communicating effectively within a team. Applicant must have excellent attendance and safety records in addition to being able to comply with all equipment and OSHA safety regulations.  Employee must observe all safety rules and precautions as instituted by Berry Plastics to prevent injury to self and others and to prevent loss of materials or damage to equipment. Applicant must be willing to work necessary overtime and perform all other duties as needed by the department supervisor as applicable for position.

Qualifications

Successful mechanical aptitude evaluation, arc flash competency requirements, pneumatics knowledge, assembly equipment maintenance, sensor and vision system setup experience, basic electrical troubleshooting, Excel, Word, and Lotus Notes.
