Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain “hands on” responsibility for the Human Resources functional area
  • Responsible for the interpretation and application of Human Resources policies, recommending changes and monitoring compliance
  • Align HR goals with plant and corporate objectives
  • Establish and maintain open and effective communication with employees
  • Manage all Human Resources programs such as recruitment, compensation, diversity, performance management, employee training and development via Berry University, etc.
  • Provide leadership, vision, and development to plant staff through training, coaching, and mentoring
  • Manage insurance and benefits program administration
  • Coordinate performance management and salary review processes
  • Assist in coordination of plant safety program
  • Prepare and manage human resources budget
  • Represent company in unemployment insurance,and other external claims.
  • Provide support for HR activities such as Gung Ho, continuous improvement initiatives, affirmative action planning, etc.
  • Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental, and department of health requirements.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or Business preferred with minimum of five (5) years HR experience
  • SPHR or PHR Accreditation is a plus
  • Exemplary interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated consulting and influencing skills
  • Strong team orientation
  • Working knowledge of labor laws
  • Experienced conflict resolution, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality
