PURPOSE: The Automation Tech Intern will assist the ESS team with various research, development, documentation, basic project and general technical tasks. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter with a desire to learn and grow in the field of automation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and apply safety standards to maintain a safe working environment
  • Assist with research tasks for new technology, component research, vendor information, etc.
  • Assist with general documentation tasks centered around project development, project management, data collection, etc.
  • Handle basic project related and engineering tasks as needed.
  • Support the Corporate Automation Engineering teams as needed.

Qualifications

  • Currently studying in a mechanical engineering or related technical field
  • Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a goal-oriented team environment

 

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software
  • Experience with design for assembly/manufacturing principles
  • Skilled in oral and written communication
