SUMMARY

Remove and mount proper tooling, observe machines in operations and make adjustments to control the rate and quality of production.

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Berry Global in Hot Springs, AR is filling 1 Carpenter and 1 Painter position. These positions are not in production and will be responsible for building and grounds maintenance and projects. 

 

        

KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Carpenters and painters must be able to perform basic remodeling projects at proficient level with minimal supervision. Basic Framing and basic plumbing demo/install is a must.

 

  1. Evaluate building and grounds routinely to bring potential concerns to plant management.

 

  1. Must be capable of performing job duties/responsibilities with very little supervision.

 

  1. Responsible for the inventory of various supplies needed to perform daily job tasks.

 

  1. Required to be versed in plant safety procedures such as: Hazard Communication Program (Material Safety Data Sheets), proper lifting and bending procedures, accident prevention, personal protective equipment, bloodborne pathogens, basic electrical safety, plant evacuation routes, safe use of cleaning equipment, and the safety concerns of co-workers & visitors for wet floors and electrical cords.

 

  1. Periodically may perform work that does not pertain to job function such as, but not limited to: work production line, breaking machines, secondary work responsibilities may also include monthly safety inspections of fire extinguishers, eye wash stations and bug lights.

 

  1. Must be able to obtain a valid forklift license, scissor lift and ability to operate overhead crane.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

 

  1. Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment of carpentry and/or painting professions.

 

  1. Ability to operate and accurately read a tape measure

 

  1. Knowledge of construction hand tools and building materials

 

  1. Good hand and eye coordination are essential.

 

  1. Ability to lift 50 pounds and carry 35 pounds safely.

 

  1. Ability to intermittently stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, twist, crouch, reach, and lower for extended periods of time.

 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

 

  1. High School Graduate or G.E.D. with three-year preferred work experience.
