Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performing machine start-up, shut-down, color changes, and any necessary processing changes to ensure that the machines are running at the proper efficiency and that the product is in conformance.
  • Capable of performing daily mold and machine PM’s per procedures.
  • Monitor and repair all auxiliary equipment and notify maintenance department of any issues with any machines or equipment.
  • Verify that the machine cycle, cavitation, and set-up parameters are correct.
  • Record performance of machines and any adjustments made.
  • Work with the QA department to prevent any nonconforming product.
  • Maintain machine cleanliness, and perform mold, machine, and equipment repairs as needed.
  • Perform any housekeeping duties as assigned by the Supervisor, or Acting Supervisor.
  • Assist Supervisor, or Acting Supervisor as needed.
  • Assist in the training of other personnel as needed.
  • Properly label scrap gaylords and ensure content integrity.
  • Follow all Safety, Food Safety and GMP practices.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. 2-4-year college or technical degree is highly preferred.
  • Must have good mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of injection molding machinery and processes highly preferred.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work activities for self and others, and to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to utilize a variety of computer software (Microsoft products preferred).
  • Excellent communication, investigation, coaching and mentoring experience.
  • Be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend and reach to perform necessary job functions.
  • Previous skills in operation of forklift, overhead crane, scissor lift and pallet jack.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts when coverage is needed.
