Responsibilities

Mechanical Maintenance Tech

 

The Mankato Minnesota facility is searching for a Mechanical Maintenance Tech to fill a day opening. This position supports both business units by helping maintain and repair production equipment as needed.

 

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on all machinery, detect failing equipment, troubleshoot, repair and set up all equipment.
  • Be able to use the following tools: hand tools, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding equipment.
  • Be able to fabricate parts as needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
  • ISO documents for job level
  • Abide by all safety rules and procedures

 

Hourly pay range:  $26.50 - $31.10

 

Hours: 12 hour rotating shift; working every other weekend; rotating schedule every 2 weeks, 6 am and 6 pm.

 

Differential of $1.75 paid for all hours work between 5 pm and 5 am.

Qualifications

High School Diploma with maintenance experience. Machine/fabrication skills, motor control skills, and welding experience.

 

Must be able to read the following schematics: mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic. Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical functions. Use of electrical test equipment. Use of the following welding equipment: stick, mig, braze, and torch. Ability to machine and fabricate parts on the following machines: lathe, milling machine, drill press, surface grinder, welder(s), etc. Plumbing skills. Understand compressors and transfer systems (pumping and vacuum). 

 

Basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting. Ability to read schematics.

 

Lifting and moving equipment/materials. Standing, bending, and kneeling. Must be able to lift 75 pounds on occasion.
